One of the major factors that is absolutely obliterating President Joe Biden in the polls is the massive increase in the price of groceries which has been considerable since the days of the pandemic, which, for the moment, are behind us. I say “for the moment” because the powers-that-be are always attempting to play “god” and engage in diabolical research involving viruses, proving they haven’t learned a thing since COVID hit.
While the mainstream media attempts to convince us that inflation isn’t all that bad and things are improving, that’s not what we’re experiencing in real life outside of the ivory tower of academia. That’s because we’re the ones who are actually having to drop twice as much as we did before the pandemic to pay for goods and services, and we’re feeling the hits in our pocketbooks.

However, shoppers still report feeling burdened by the prices they’re seeing in the grocery store aisles. To that point, within the past few years, 80% of Americans say they’ve felt a notable increase in the cost of groceries, Intuit Credit Karma reported last month.
Since the start of the pandemic, grocery prices have risen 25%, the report also found. Some consumers have had to sacrifice necessities to afford food, the personal finance company found.
That includes 28% who sacrificed other needs like rent or bills to pay for groceries, and 27% who occasionally skipped meals. Additionally, 18% have either applied for or considered applying for food stamps, while 15% rely on or have considered turning to food banks.
Yet, 53% indicated they earn too much to qualify for food stamps or other government assistance but still have difficulties paying for necessities.
Oh and that’s not the only thing Biden’s inflation rates are causing to rise in cost. A total of 51 percent of consumers report seeing big increases in the price of gas. Another 39 percent stated that some of their other expenses, like cable, internet, electricity, have all experienced a spike in price. Then another 27 percent noted a spike in the cost of housing, while an additional 27 percent said eating out has become more expensive.
The survey was conducted online by Qualtrics on behalf of Intuit Credit Karma, from May 7-13 among 2,011 adults.
The price of groceries has gone up by such a significant number that it has caught the eye of Congress.
“Grocery prices skyrocketed during the pandemic, and in many cases they’ve kept going up, even though the pandemic is over,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat from Massachusetts, explained at a Senate hearing.
Due to the increase of food prices, a lot of folks who previously made enough to get by are having to rely on the kindness of others through food banks and charities to ensure their families are fed. And I wish I could say, with optimism, things will improve, but that depends on who we elect not only as president, but as our representatives in Congress. And that’s both chamber, the House and the Senate.
If we don’t change directions soon, things that are bad right now, are going to be even worse later on.
