While Americans across the United States waited for the results of the 2024 election, our nation’s military was doing something incredibly scary, especially given the current status of the geopolitical stage, which is teetering on the brink of a third world war. They carried out a hypersonic missile test. Yikes, right? And that’s not the scariest part. This type of missile is designed to carry a nuclear warhead. Given what’s happening between Ukraine and Russia and Israel and Iran, this should make your gut clinch a little bit.
Check out further details from Charisma News:
Scheduled to launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, the unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile will blast off into the night just hours after the polls close. The missile test, officials say, is intended to “show the readiness of nuclear U.S. forces” and instill “confidence in the nation’s nuclear deterrence.” Yet, many Americans are questioning the necessity of holding such an exercise on the same day the nation is casting votes for the next president. The election itself has already stirred heightened emotions, and for millions who already feel uneasy about the nation’s future, the unexpected announcement of a missile launch may amplify their fears. While military leaders insist the test is “routine” and “was scheduled years in advance,” the symbolism of a hypersonic missile test on such a consequential day is hard to ignore.

The hypersonic missile is capable of hitting speeds over 15,000 miles per hour, which is astonishing. It can travel 4,200 miles to its pre-selected target at Kwajalein Atoll located in the Pacific. Col. Bryan Titus of Space Launch Delta explained that this showcases how formidable our defense capabilities truly are, saying the tests hold “immense significance, not only for our nation’s defense but also serve as a pivotal moment in showcasing the exceptional capabilities and expertise of our dedicated team.”
“Still, many question if now is the best moment to remind citizens of America’s nuclear arsenal, particularly as Russian officials warn of a deteriorating relationship with the U.S. and the looming threat of conflict,” the report continued. “In times like these, it’s natural to feel unsettled. However, as Christians, we are reminded that God has not given us a spirit of fear.”
It’s easy to give in to anxiety and fear, but the Bible tells believers to find peace by laying our burdens upon the Lord who is infinitely strong. It’s His pleasure to lift the worries and concerns of the world from our shoulders. He can provide a peace that can sustain your spirit even if the worst case scenario should happen. Cling to Christ, prepare for the worst, hope and pray for the best. That’s good medicine for any situation you might find yourself in.
